*Update

The music concert on May 27th is being postponed until further notice.

We had a wonderful presentation on eagles from Barr Lake State Park yesterday. To help us prepare questions for the presentation we observed a mother eagle and her eaglets on this live web cam. Check it out and ask your children about it!

Mrs. Mohr

Hello!

My name is Megan Mohr and I am thrilled to be Randi West's long term substitute. I taught Kinder and 2nd grade for the past three years in California. After marrying in September, my husband Jeff and I decided to move to Colorado on a whim. Our little adventure couldn't have worked out better and we have fallen in love with this state! I am so happy to be at Bromley and in Mrs. West's room.

The class has been wonderful and very patient with all of my questions! They have made it very easy for me to jump right in. My teaching style is very similar to Mrs. West's and I will continue her same behavior and class rules. My goals are to make this transition as smooth for the class as possible and to maintain Mrs. West's high standards for behavior and academics.

As I'm getting to know each student, I would greatly appreciate any information about your child you feel I should know. Please email me at mmohr@bromleyeastcs.org with any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to working with you and your children!

Sincerely,

Megan Mohr

***Please remind your children that Pokemon cards will not be allowed in the class or at recess. They are considered a toy and are not allowed at school. If Pokemon cards are brought to school they will go into my "June Box" which will keep them safe until the last day of school. Thank you!***

Babys Here

Hi 2nd graders and Parents,
Well as much as I planned and prepared, my little boy had other plans! I was at school on Wednesday preparing to have Mrs. Mohr meet all the students the next day, little did I know that by the time class started the next day, my little boy would be 2 hours old. I really wish I would have had more time to prepare and tell all the students goodbye, but parents as you know, sometimes our kids have a mind of their own!

Hindes Lee West was born March 10, 2011 at 6:00 am. He weighed 6.1 1/2 oz and was 20" tall. He is just a little peanut and we are working hard to get some weight on him, as he lost quite a bit before leaving the hospital. But, I am still convinced he is going to be a middle linebacker!

We are all doing well and adjusting the best we can. I plan on bringing him in to visit once he gets a little older and stronger.

I hope you all are doing great and showing Mrs. Mohr what wonderful students you and how our classroom runs. I know you are being wonderful and helpful. I miss you all and will be in to see you soon!

Love,
Mrs. West

Welcome Back

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great vacation and holiday with their families. This break is always needed for much rest and relaxation by all. I wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to all my students and parents for all the thoughtful Christmas gifts. I did and still am enjoying the gift cards (Target, i-tunes, Chilies), ornaments, baked goods, decorative scented candles, wooden enraved sticky note box, hand made soap, cards, cookie kits, teacher's calendar, baby clothes, glass candy jar and many other wonderful gifts. It is truly a gift to spend my days working with each and everyone of my students daily. I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
